Moving right along…

So where was I? Let’s see…Sept 12 last posting…that’s a horribly long time. What have I been up to since then?

I’ve avoided my sketchbook like the plague…I’ve only done a couple pieces in it.

Mostly I’ve been doing digital art. I finally got the hang of Procreate on my iPad and started using it more.

All this led to someone noticing my work on a Facebook group.

They liked my work and passed it on to someone they know.

That person liked my work and DM’ed me and said “I’m curating a exhibition of veteran artists this summer and I’d like you to submit some work.”

Of course I thought BS! How could anyone like my work. I’m a hack, how could anyone want to show MY art…Must be a scam (that internal voice can be a real pain in the ass sometimes).

But I researched…and Googled…and he and the show are legit.

So I submitted some art…

Climb the Moon (digital, created in Procreate- 11×14”) and Cracks in the Armor (acrylic ink on paper- 8×10”) were selected for the exhibition.

And they accepted two pieces. Shocked I now had to figure out what all this meant and how to prepare. So I’ve been running quiet, trying to get everything ready and shipped.

Mission accomplished.

So if anyone who reads this is in the New York City area and would like to see some really good artwork created by veterans please drop by the Salmagundi Club and check out the Journey Onward exhibition in the Rockwell gallery. Admission is free and I feel beyond honored to be selected to participate in it.

Flyer for the exhibition. Gratuitous highlighting of my name.
