3/29/22 Art

Here are my most recent pieces. I know I said that I would just dump them here as I create them but somehow time has slipped away from me again.

I’m doing a lot more in my Leuchtturm 1917 journal. It’s not made for painting in but it’s teaching me wash control and I don’t feel like it has to be perfect as I’m going to write over it anyways.

Leutchturm1917 A5 – Watercolor – Released my inner Bob Ross on this one. After putting in the sky with a round wash brush I used a small palette knife to scoop up watered down pigment from my butcher board palette and scrape it onto the paper. It was fun, it was fast, I’m not sure how I didn’t tear the paper. Not sure how I’ll convince myself to write over this. Maybe just the sky.
8.5×11″ Canson Watercolor sketchbook – Ink – Lack of sleep, strange dreams and maybe too much Ukraine in the news for my brain to process. I woke from a nap (I don’t nap, if I nap I’m to the point of complete exhaustion) with this in my head and it has to come out.
Leutchturm1917 A5 – watercolor – fan brush and 3/4″ flat brush. I really like where this one went.

I hope you’ve enjoyed these. If you have any questions please ping me via email.

Have a great day and remember. Do art.
