The last two days have been a little trying. I decided to use the challenge to work on techniques I normally don’t use. They turned out okay however it shows me that I have a lot of work to get better at those techniques.

I like how the foliage turned out though I wish I’d maintained the lighter colors in it. The ground cover turned out fairly well too. The path… not so much. The shadows from the trees didn’t go so well either.

Not a lot I like about this. I didn’t take it in the direction i wanted it to go and I kinda lost control and felt like a little kid scribbling over the drawing they were working on.

I really feel like I need to work on geometric shapes and objects like buildings. They really elude me. Perhaps that will be tonight’s piece.
